Shaun has recently joined Strategic Counsel as Partner

After completing his BA (Jurisprudence) from Oxford, Shaun has worked on almost every election in Malaysia over the past 8 years as well as several in neighbouring countries.

Shaun’s policy experience includes industrial & entrepreneurship initiatives for the Penang State Government and legislative work for Parliamentarians, among whom are now Cabinet ministers.

He is concurrently the founder of Mersawa Associates, a government & political services group, and Institut Merbau, a think-tank studying complex systems in Southeast Asia.
